How it goes

A deck tear-out makes a surprising amount of heavy, nail-filled lumber, and the footings are the part most people underestimate.

We take the boards up, cut the framing, pull or cut the posts, and load everything as we go so there's never a pile in the yard. If a builder is coming behind us, we leave the site the way they want it.

How it goes

Three steps, one visit.

Send the form or call

Tell us what you've got and where it is. Kevin calls back within the hour with a ballpark. A photo over text works too.

We show up and price it

We look at the actual load, give you the flat price on the spot, and wait for your yes. No surprise add-ons after the fact.

It's gone

We load, sweep the space, and haul it out. Donation and recycling first, transfer station last.

What we take

What we take on a deck removal job.

  • Pressure-treated and composite decks, any size
  • Stairs, railings, benches and built-in planters
  • Posts and concrete footings
  • Screened porches and sunroom framing
  • Old patio covers and pergolas
  • Debris from a deck a contractor already pulled

What we can't take: hazardous waste, asbestos-containing material, wet paint, chemicals, fuel and propane tanks. If you're not sure, describe it on the phone and we'll tell you straight.

How pricing works

Deck removal is quoted by the job, not by the truck.

One flat number, before anything starts.

Kevin walks the job (or looks at your photos), tells you the price, and waits for your yes. It doesn't change once we start, and if it takes less than we thought, it goes down.

  • Free walk-through or photo quote, no charge to come look
  • Labor, disposal fees and the haul are all in the one number
  • Multi-truck jobs quoted as one job, not per load
  • Paid after the work, once you've seen the space. Cash, card, Zelle or invoice
  • Net-30 for contractors, property managers and other haulers

Common questions

Deck Removal questions, answered.

Do you pull the footings?

Yes, or cut the posts flush if the new deck is going on them. Tell us the plan.

Can you leave the frame if it's sound?

Yes. Plenty of Charlotte decks have good joists and rotten boards. We'll strip the decking and railings and leave the frame for your builder.

How is a deck tear-out priced?

Flat, by the job, after a walk-through or photos with a rough size. Composite and multi-level decks cost more than a simple 12x12. Demolition isn't on the truck-fill sheet.

What happens to the wood?

Pressure-treated lumber can't be mulched or burned, so it goes to the C&D transfer station. Metal rails and hardware go to scrap.

How long does it take?

Most single-level decks come out in half a day including the haul.
